Understanding Spinal Decompression
Spinal decompression is a unique approach to treating lower back and neck pain caused by aging, injury, or wear and tear. When discs become damaged or injured, they may bulge beyond their limits, putting pressure on spinal nerves and causing pain that radiates throughout the body.
During spinal decompression therapy, a vacuum effect is created, known as "negative intra-discal pressure," which retracts herniated or bulging discs and reduces pressure on nerves. This process promotes the natural healing of degenerated discs by increasing the flow of nutrient-rich fluids, restoring hydration, and preventing further damage and pain.
