This condition can cause pain and tenderness just outside a joint and is most common around the shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, and heels.
Symptoms of Tendonitis
Symptoms include pain at the site of the tendon and surrounding area, which may worsen with movement, tenderness, and mild swelling. Pain is often described as a dull ache, especially when moving the affected limb or joint.
Repetitive Stress: Activities that stress the tendons at their greatest effort repeatedly for a long period of time, such as in throwing sports.
Injury: Sudden trauma to the tendon.
Loss of flexibility.
Poor Posture: Incorrect posture can strain tendons by forcing them to hold the weight of the head or the body when they were not designed to be postural muscles.
