This condition can cause pain, numbness, or weakness along the path of the affected nerve, often radiating into the arms or legs.

Symptoms of Radiculopathy

Symptoms vary depending on the location of the affected nerve and may include sharp or burning pain, numbness or tingling, muscle weakness, and decreased reflexes. Cervical radiculopathy affects the neck and arms, while lumbar radiculopathy affects the lower back and legs.

Common Causes of Radiculopathy Include:

  • Herniated Discs: Bulging discs can press on spinal nerves.
  • Spinal Stenosis: Narrowing of the spinal canal.
  • Bone Spurs: Growth of bone can compress nerves.
