Common Causes of Tendonitis Include:

  • Repetitive Stress: Activities that stress the tendons at their greatest effort repeatedly for a long period of time, such as in throwing sports.
  • Injury: Sudden trauma to the tendon.
  • Loss of flexibility.
  • Poor Posture: Incorrect posture can strain tendons by forcing them to hold the weight of the head or the body when they were not designed to be postural muscles.
